Paediatric First Aid Training

Paediatric First Aid training is a vital skill for parents, child minders, nurses, doctors, first responders and anyone involved in the care of children

This course is designed to give those with prior Paediatric First Aid training a vital, recognised course to assist in emergency situaitons involving children.
This course is designed for anyone working in childcare services and meets the requirements set out by Early Childhood Ireland and Tusla.

The course is for anyone working in childcare and will enable them to assist the dedicated Occupational First Aider (OFA) or First Aid Responder (FAR).

This course will be delivered by a PHECC recognised instructor.

  • Responsibilities of a First Aider
  • CPR for Adults and Children
  • AED for Adults and Children
  • Common Medical Emergencies
  • Injury Management and shock
  • Care of unconscious patient
  • Burns and electrical injuries
  • Meningitis
