A Few Words About Us

Responsive Training provide interactive, relevant and high quality health and safety training to companies and individuals nationwide. We can come to you to deliver the course at a time and location that suits you.

Thomas Dunleavy is the founder and owner of Responsive Training. Thomas is the main instructor delivering 99% of all classes himself. Thomas is very passionate about quality and aims to make all of his training informative, relevant, practical and most enjoyable as possible

Cardiac First Response (CFR) Community

This course is designed by the Pre-Hospital Care Council to provide a basic level of training to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Paediatric First Aid

This course is designed for anyone working in childcare services and meets requirements set out by Early Childhood Ireland and Tusla. The course is for anyone working in childcare and will enable them to assist the dedicated Occupational

Emergency First Aid

This course is for anyone who wishes to have basic first aid life saving skills. This course will be delivered by a PHECC recognised instructor.

Course Duration 1 day 9:30-4:30 (depending on class size and previous learning)

VDU/DSE Assessment

Under the Health and Safety Welfare at work 2005 act employers are required to carry out a VDU (Visual Display Unit)/DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessment on each employee’s workstation

Manual Handling Training

Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and General Applications 2007 all employees must complete a Manual Handling Course every 3 years.

Patient Handling Training

This course is designed for healthcare workers who need to be trained to safely move and handle patients under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work 2005 and Manual

Fire Safety Awareness

This course is aimed at raising awareness of Fire Hazards and to train people how to react and act safely in the event of an emergency fire.

Fire Warden Training

This course is for anyone who is the designated Fire Warden on a premises. To comply with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (Part 2, Section 11)

Abrasive Wheel Course Training

This course is designed to instruct employees in the theory and practice of safe use of Abrasive Wheels to comply with the “Abrasive Wheels Regulations 1982” (SI 30 / 1982).
